Creature Comforts 

To feel like home, we provide blankets, cushions, chairs, rugs and curtains.  Our selected colour scheme is suiting to the calming of cats.

We as humans love familiarity, as do our pets which is why we welcome you to send your pets own creature comforts such as a blankets, cushions, teddys etc.

Accommodation

During your pets stay, hygiene and privacy are very important to us!

​

As cats are territorial and can infect each other with illnesses; each property is separated by solid walls and face out onto the paddock.  The front of each property is secured with solid wooden frames and wire mesh providing fresh country air, sights, smells, and sounds. 

​

Properties range from a striking 5 square meter to 6 square meter providing more than enough space to run, play, jump and climb.  Hammocks and viewing platforms allow pets to chill out while watching and listening to the countryside.  Hideaways are also provided for those whom wish to be left alone.

​

Housing within each property is fully insulated and at a hight of 1.8m from the ground up.  This provides multiple levels to suit the needs of all residents, including those of age or with a disability.

Walls of the property are painted with an antibacterial paint that is  proven to kill 99.9% bacteria and protection against, E. coli, MRSA and viruses including coronavirus.

Ventilation and Heating

Ventilation plays a large part in preventing the spread of illnesses.  Therefore, our safety corridor and front of properties are secured with wire mesh, providing steady circulation of fresh country air.

A selection of heating options are available for our residents to choose from such as:

• insulated housing

• wall mounted heaters,

• electric heat pad mats,

• blankets

• bedding straw (With its benefits, pets love the straws ability to reflect body heat while repelling moisture) 

Through the colder months, shutters are installed around the safety corridor ensuring strong winds and cold breeze do not disrupt the comfort our residents. 

Love and Care

Pets benefit from physically interactions at least four times a day with:

• Wake up calls, breakfast and scratches behind the ears

• Lunch time snacks and play

• Dinner with evening entertainment (play, cuddles, stories etc. whatever suits your pet)

• Turn down with more scratches behind the ears before being tucked into bed

We require you to bring your own cats food to avoid dietary upsets and to keep this familiar.

Security and Insurance

Each of our properties are fully secured with a roof, solid walls and a wooden structure wire mesh lockable doorway.  Properties lead on to a security corridor consistent also of a secured roof, wooden walls, wire mesh and lockable doors.

Security cameras are installed within the cattery provide a 24/7 monitoring system.

Country Paws Cattery holds un to date insurance (pre existing conditions are excluded)

Housekeeping and Turn Around

Your pet will avail of housekeeping each day of their stay to to ensure clean housing, litter trays, feeding bowls as well as fluffing of blankets and cushions.

On check out, properties, housing and all their items are washed and disinfected with G9 Surface Disinfectant Cleaner (tested to the latest ECHA European Veterinary Test Protocol Standards).

Vets and Health Care

On booking, a medical history of your pet will be requested:

• registered veterinarian practice

• vaccination card

• medical requirements

• injuries requiring attention

• etc.

In addition to having contact with your veterinarian, we also avail of our own veterinarian 24/7.
